From some hand drawn sketches given to me by Jodie, I then added my own personal symbols that have come about from my representation on the Brisbane paper wasp. The picture includes Jodie's sketches of contemporary homes around Brisbane. The arched window that stretches over the three pages is taken from the shapes of Brisbane's Treasury Casino and the marks and movement from the wasp that has been continuously occupying these spaces over time. This may go a little further yet.

I hope I am one of them. Two weeks in New York completely devoted to art would be pure bliss.
Here is an image I painted last year when my mother was going through breast cancer and my sister was having breast surgery. I am about to start a body of work around this. My mum is unwell again.
My work will be exhibited at Light Space in Fortitude Valley towards the end of the year. Here is the invite the way it has been distributed. It is to raise money for the Burns, Trauma & Critical Care Research Centre at Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. I experienced accidental hot water burns as a young child and still have the scars and so feel close to this one. I also think very highly of the RWBHospital from the experiences I have had there in the past. I feel very appreciative to be a part of this one I must say.
