I very briefly met a woman named Helen Malone at the artist book talk the other day in the state library. I have just had a look at her web page and I very much like her work.

For the month of March Impress has some local practicing artists giving talks in the studio to shed some light on their approaches and printmaking processes. Today I got to hear David Nixon and Paula Quintela who also had some examples of their gorgeous work. Definitely worth going to!
When Bjork met Attenborough. Just watched this on ABC iview and it's brilliant. Playing with some Bjork apps now!
William Kentridge is giving a free talk at the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston on the 8th April. I am staying not far away and am crossing every body part I own in the hope that I will get to be there at that talk!
Opening night of impress studio and gallery, last night, was a full house. John Doyle at the front with the white shirt who warmly welcomed me into impress and who has taught me quite a few things. Click on his name and see some of his beautiful work. The Sydney Morning herald has expressed the amount of work these people have put into getting this space launched. Opened by Brisbane Lord Mayor Graham Quirk and a speech by Sasha Grishin (Aust. National Uni).

Went to visit the Caboolture Regional Art Gallery to see work from Impress Gallery members, also work by Brian Robinson and Joel Sam Stunning. This was a section of an etching from Brian Robinson's work 'They spread their wings and began to soar', 2010. His work is beautiful.
